Exploring Paris on Armistice day
November 11 is the First World War armistice anniversary. The sheer thrill of the population all around the city that day is difficult to describe!
Although no fighting took place in Paris, many traces are still visible, reminding the intensity of the battle.
If most of them are memorials or statues paying tribute to the dignitaries, some are more hidden and unusual.
The itinerary at different sites throughout the city will not only recount the most vibrant moments of the War from 1914 to 1918, but also help understand the fundamental changes in post war French society.
Meeting point: Gare de l’Est train station outside Platform 5.
End at Concorde.
