A walk in a remote area of Bois de Vincennes
At the easternmost tip of Paris, in the Bois de Vincennes, the tropical agronomy garden was set up at the end of the 19th century, trying to answer food and culture situations in the developing French national Empire. The garden is still home to day of various schools and institutions linked to agronomic researches.
This part of Bois de Vincennes was also used for hosting the first Colonial exhibition held in paris in 1907. Many exotic remains can be admired today as well as numerous memorials for the Colonial troops engaged during World War 1
An association sells vegetables and fruits cropped with permaculture in a local farm.
The walk will end in the nearby bois de Vincennes, at a charming café nearing the lake.
