Maintenon is a small town located 50 mn train from Paris Montparnasse train station

After a 10 minutes walk, The center city unveils, starting with a seventeen century church, keeping several gifts and paintings from Madame de Maintenon, the most famous and loyal parishioner in town.

At the end of the main street, lunch will be proposed in a center city local brasserie overlooking the chateau.

Madame de Maintenon bought the chateau in 1674. With her royal husband, she will expand and decorate it throughout her life. The Noailles family will then take over the chateau and strongly mark the place.

The beautiful gardens have now been reconstituted in the way Le Notre had them built. They offer a privileged look over the fantastic aqueduct ruins, built in the 17th century in order to get water from the river Eure across to Versailles

The ticket includes the train ticket to Maintenon and return, the entrance ticket and guiding into the chateau and gardens.
