On this tour by the sea you will discover the unique sites and beautiful scenery found all along Eastern Normandy’s Alabaster Coast.

Often painted by many artists and used as inspiration for French Literature, the cliffs of the Alabaster Coast in Upper Normandy offer a spectacular panoramic view of the sea, but are relatively unknown. Discover this magnificent area through a scenic cliff walk, uncovering the secrets and legends of its unique setting. After a stroll through the idyllic and typical streets of the small towns, drive to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch.

The next stop will be a visit to the palace where Benedictine is produced, the famous liquor of Fécamp that is often used as a secret ingredient of many cocktails and cakes.

Your journey continues along the Alabaster Coast to admire the many sites and stop in a charming seaside resort where Victor Hugo was frequently a guest. Finish the day with a long break in the last small town along the Alabaster Coast, considered a real jewel among the coastlines’s many treasures because of its combination of exceptional location, architecture, and unique monuments.

See its Mid-Romanesque and Mid-Gothic Church—known in France for its unique pillars, its maritime cemetery that beautifully overlooks the sea and is the final resting place of one of the most famous painters in the world, and finish the tour with a visit to a stunning manor house, admired and visited for its grandeur, strangeness, and mystery. The beautiful park contains rare species of both flora and fauna in France, with gigantic plants and flowers that extend all the way to the cliff face. It will be a walk full of richness that will leave an impression you will not soon forget.

The drive back to Paris will take a little bit more than 2 hours.
